A handsome elm sideboard of around 130 years old, with six doors in three pairs and two small drawers above the centre pair. The elm has been carefully restored and finished to a stunning dark grey brown, with the marks of its working life left in the surface rather than sanded away.

Each cupboard has a removable shelf, allowing the three compartments to be set up differently for china, glass and linen, or cleared for taller things. Iron ring pulls on every door and drawer sit dark against the timber.

We like the height. At 98cm it stands well above most sideboards, which makes it a comfortable surface to serve from in a dining room or kitchen.

Care Instructions

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which will mark the surface. Keep away from direct heat and strong sunlight, and expect a little movement in very dry rooms.
