Mortimer Reclaimed Elm Sideboard
A reclaimed elm sideboard with ten drawers, more than most sideboards manage: four across the top and a stack of three small ones at either end, framing two pairs of doors. It is newly built from elm over 120 years old taken out of disused farm buildings and finished to a soft pale grey, with a thick plank top overhanging the cabinet at both ends.
Each cupboard has a removable shelf, so you can alter the compartments to suit what goes in them, and the small drawers take cutlery, candles and everything that never has a home. All the handles are slim iron drops, dark against the pale elm.
At 43cm deep it fits a hallway as easily as a dining room, and 88cm is a comfortable height to serve from.
