Our Fenwick console table was sourced in China's Shanxi province and is around a hundred and twenty years old, made from solid elm that has worn to a gentle weathered grey. A long, slender top runs on simple legs to give a narrow footprint that suits a hallway or a wall behind a sofa, and the timber carries the grain, knots and soft marks of a long life. It is a characterful vintage elm console table, every one a little different from the next.
