Wide iron battens run across the ends, each one held down by a close set row of domed studs. Both belong to the door this top once was, now laid flat on a steel frame.

The elm has weathered to a cool grey and the iron has bled a little into the grain around each stud. It is wide as well as long, anchoring the living room while allowing for plenty of practical space.

The frame under it is thin welded steel, dark and open, doing nothing to compete with the door above it. At 180cm it will run the length of a big sofa, and 39cm keeps it just under most seat heights.

Care Instructions

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which will mark the surface. Keep away from direct heat and strong sunlight, and expect a little movement in very dry rooms.
