Four heavy lengths of timber make up the legs on this one, left much as they were hewn, gnarled and split down their faces and cut off square at the floor. Stretchers brace them at two levels, which is what holds a top of 130cm steady.

The rim of that top is bound with an iron band and rivet heads, and the face was the bed of a grinding mill first, which accounts for the wear through the middle of it.

The face is a lovely pale brown with grey mottled through the grain, and the iron has gone a soft dark grey against it.

Care Instructions

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which will mark the surface. Keep away from direct heat and strong sunlight, and expect a little movement in very dry rooms.
