A lovely antique elm console table in worn black lacquer, with two drawers beneath the top and a plain iron ring pull on each. The finish has been tastefully restored, and where it has rubbed through at the edges and feet the pale elm shows beautifully against the black.

The straight legs end in small hoof feet. We like it in a hallway as much as beside a chair or bed, and at 48cm deep it fits either, with the drawers taking keys, post and the rest.

Dust only, with a dry or barely damp cloth. Do not scrub or use cleaning products. The worn areas are part of the piece and will lift if treated.
