An antique fruitwood coffee table with the rim of its top surrounded by iron rivets that once held an iron band around the top approximately 150 years ago. This banding dates from the top's first life as a mill base.

The timber under it is greyer than most fruitwood, the weathering worked down into the old saw marks, and the iron sits handsomely against it. We find a top this colour easy to fit into any room and in almost any style of interior.

At 123cm across, the top oversails its four squared legs by some way, which leaves room to sit close in without knocking a shin.

Care Instructions

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which will mark the surface. Keep away from direct heat and strong sunlight, and expect a little movement in very dry rooms.
