This beautiful side table is cut from one solid piece of oak, a thick section of trunk with the waste taken out underneath so that short feet are left standing at the edges.

The face is a slice through the growth rings, which run out from the heart with dry splits opening along them, and the sides keep the irregular line of the trunk. The oak has bleached almost to white and has a lovely chalky, dry feel to it.

At 49cm it stands taller than most side tables, which puts the top level with a chair arm or a bed.

Care Instructions

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which will mark the surface. Keep away from direct heat and strong sunlight, and expect a little movement in very dry rooms.
