Reg Vintage Elm Console Table
Two small drawers sit side by side under the top of this elm console, each with a plain iron ring for a handle, and each deep enough to take the gloves, keys and post that collect by a door.
The top has been scrubbed back to a lovely dry grey, pale against the dark iron of the rings, and eighty years of use have left their marks across it. A stretcher runs along each side between the legs, so you get a table that stays firm when a drawer is pulled.
It is small for a console at 102cm long and 40cm deep, which suits a narrow hall where floor space is tight.
