Three iron cramps are let into the face of the top, holding closed a split that runs right through the centre of it. They are a plain, practical repair, and they sit beautifully against the bleached grey of the oak. 

The top itself is a broad section cut across the trunk, near enough as wide as it is long, the rings opening out from the centre to a lovely scalloped natural edge and the surface dried into close radial splits.

At 37cm it sits low against a deep sofa, and a top this shape gives you a good deal more usable surface than a rectangle of the same length. A stunning way to anchor your living room.

Care Instructions

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which will mark the surface. Keep away from direct heat and strong sunlight, and expect a little movement in very dry rooms.
