Three cupboards run the length of this antique elm sideboard, each behind its own pair of doors and each with a removable shelf inside splitting it into two generous tiers. No drawers on this one, which is unusual on a sideboard this long, so the whole of it is cupboard space.

The elm is stunning, stripped back to a pale chalky finish with the darker grain still showing through it, and around 160 years of use has left the top dented and scuffed. Plain iron rings hang at each pair of doors, contrasting the elm beautifully.

At 230cm it wants a long wall, and at 44cm deep it will take china and table linen without pushing out into a dining room.

Care Instructions

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which will mark the surface. Keep away from direct heat and strong sunlight, and expect a little movement in very dry rooms.
