A vintage pine sideboard in beautifully worn paint, a chalky cream rubbed thin across the top until the grey underneath comes through, and thinner still around the pulls where hands have been going for 120 years.

Four doors, hung in two pairs, open onto two generous cupboards with a removable shelf across the middle of each. The interiors are bare dark timber, which comes as a surprise against all the pale paint outside.

A panelled rail runs the full width below the doors, and at 43cm deep the piece is shallow enough to line a hallway without closing it in.

Dust only, with a dry or barely damp cloth. Do not scrub or use cleaning products. The worn areas are part of the piece and will lift if treated.
