A vintage elm console table with five drawers set in a long low frieze on plain iron drop pulls. This one is unusual for its length, nearly two and a half metres, enough to anchor a large hallway or a long wall in a sitting room. The elm is around 120 years old and has been carefully restored to a lovely pale grey brown, keeping the marks of use in the top.

The square legs are braced with stretchers at each end, so a top this long sits on a strong frame, and at 39cm deep it stays well out of a corridor. Each one is photographed individually, and the grain and colour vary a little between them.

Care Instructions

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which will mark the surface. Keep away from direct heat and strong sunlight, and expect a little movement in very dry rooms.
