Lean and quietly characterful, our Ellis vintage console was sourced in Shanxi province and is built from solid elm with around a hundred and thirty years of history behind it. Standing more than two and a half metres wide on slender legs, it carries the soft, weathered black patina that only decades of use can give a piece of old elm. The grain runs the full length of the top and the gentle marks and knots across the surface speak to its age rather than detracting from it. We love it run along a hallway wall or behind a sofa, an elegant vintage elm console with genuine country presence.
