A stunning little side table in old elm, once used to store small valuables and important documents around 100 years ago. What sets this one apart is the shape: the sides slope inwards from floor to top, so it stands wider at the base than at the top, and the legs splay out with them. 

Behind the door is a single open space with no shelf, and the two drawers and the door all pull on plain iron rings. The top is one thick plank, overhanging on every side and worn paler across the middle where a century of use has rubbed the grey back.

At 58cm it sits lower than most bedside cabinets, a lovely match for a low bed frame or sofa.

Care Instructions

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which will mark the surface. Keep away from direct heat and strong sunlight, and expect a little movement in very dry rooms.
