A rustic bench newly built from reclaimed elm, the back and arms made from rough round logs and the seat a thick plank with its natural edge left on along the front. It sits somewhere between a bench and a small sofa, with a deep seat and a high back to lean into.

This one is closer to sculpture than joinery. The logs keep their knots and splits, and the elm has been tastefully finished to a pale dry grey that shows the wide grain of the back board. At 184cm it seats two with room to spare, and it will anchor a hallway or a boot room on its own.

Care Instructions

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which will mark the surface. Keep away from direct heat and strong sunlight, and expect a little movement in very dry rooms.
