The craftsmanship is on show all over this piece. Pegs run along the top rail at intervals, showing beautifully against the pale elm, and the corner posts are pegged through as well. It is that construction which has held the frame square for a hundred and sixty years.

No paint anywhere. The elm has been stripped to a pale honey colour and the grain running the length of the six door panels is stunning where the light catches it.

Behind them are three cupboards, each with a removable shelf, and at 96cm high there is room for tall things standing up. It is only 44cm deep, so it will run along a dining room wall without eating into the floor.

Care Instructions

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which will mark the surface. Keep away from direct heat and strong sunlight, and expect a little movement in very dry rooms.
