A substantial dining table in reclaimed oak, seating eight to ten, with room for a chair at each end. The oak came out of old barns and farm buildings that were being torn down to make way for more modern structures. 

The top on this one has not been sanded flat: the scalloped marks of the tool that dressed the boards run the length of it, and the splits and old fixing holes date from the timber's first life.

Two heavy leg frames carry it, joined by a full length stretcher and a pair of angled braces rising to the underside of the top. The oak is a handsome silvery grey brown, dry and unsealed, and at 101cm across there is room down the middle for dishes and tablescape decoration.

Care Instructions

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which will mark the surface. Keep away from direct heat and strong sunlight, and expect a little movement in very dry rooms.
