We like the colour on this table, a warm honey elm several shades brighter than the greyed pieces of the same sort. The top is thick and gently waved along the front, running out past the legs at either end.

Three drawers sit in a row beneath it, each with a ring pull in dark iron. They are shallow boxes, right for papers, candles and the small things that gather by a door.

It runs to 184cm but is only 44cm deep, so it will hold a hall wall without narrowing the passage. The elm has been left unsealed, dry and matt to the touch, with a fine open grain across the top.

Care Instructions

Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water and household cleaners, which will mark the surface. Keep away from direct heat and strong sunlight, and expect a little movement in very dry rooms.
