The top of our Magnus reclaimed table began as a single broad section of old elm in China's Yunnan province, and at over two and a half metres long it makes a generous surface for everyday family suppers and long, candlelit dinners alike. We have set the reclaimed elm on a simple hand-cut base, letting the timber stay the centre of attention with all its knots, splits and growth rings on show. The finish has weathered to a smooth, pale grey, and because each top is a one-off no two of these reclaimed elm tables are quite the same.
